Responsibilities:
- Development process of new products from concept creation, through initial designs, to construction and production
- Planning, execution, and evaluation/documentation of experiments
- Conceptualization of a product at different levels of detail
- Solution design for projects in plant engineering
Educational Background:

Study Structure and University:
The dual study program in mechanical engineering lasts 6 semesters, i.e., a total of 3 years. Theoretical and practical phases alternate, with the theoretical phases lasting 12 weeks and the length of the practical phases varying. At the end of each theoretical phase, students are assessed through exams. In addition to exams, scientific papers are required, consisting of several project reports and the final Bachelor’s thesis. An international exchange program is offered by the university, and during the practical phase at Gawronski, a twelve-week stay at our branch in Poland is planned to gain international experience.
The theoretical foundations are acquired at DHBW Karlsruhe.
Future Prospects:
Our graduates can find opportunities in a wide range of fields after completing their studies. They may work in construction, development, or project management. Depending on their interests and skills, a career in sales is also possible, as our products require a high level of technical understanding.

Your Future Responsibilities:
- Commissioning, maintenance, repair, and training in the field
- Assisting in the assembly and testing of prototypes in-house
- Communicating with customers
- Ensuring information flow from the customer through sales to design
Your Profile:
- Completed mechanical or electrical engineering training, such as industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician, electrician, or a comparable qualification
- Friendly and confident demeanor in direct customer contact
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics, turning, and milling experience is advantageous
- Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics (E-Plan)
- Welding knowledge for aluminum and steel
- Proficiency in German and English

Key Responsibilities
As a Design & Development Engineer at our Philippsburg location, you will be responsible for developing optimal solutions in the field of mobile and stationary conveyor technology. In this role, you will help ensure the efficient integration of our systems into our customers’ production environments.
Mechanical design is the foundation of a successful product portfolio. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and designing functional units for the core systems of our conveyor technology
- Implementing concepts for sub-functions based on technical and economic requirements
- Contributing to and actively driving continuous improvement processes
- Identifying customer needs and consistently translating them into solutions that maximize customer value
- Managing projects end-to-end in close cooperation with other departments
Reporting Structure
- The position reports directly, both functionally and disciplinarily, to the Head of Design Engineering.
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics (Bachelor’s degree), or a comparable qualification
- Technical vocational training is an advantage
- Initial experience in mechanical design through university projects, internships, or similar activities
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Good knowledge of CAD systems, preferably Creo / Direct Modeling

Key Responsibilities
As a PLC Programmer in our Automation Department at our Philippsburg location, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of control systems for our conveyor technology.
In this role, you will help ensure the efficient integration of our systems into our customers’ production environments. High-quality PLC programming provides the foundation for successful automation solutions.
Reporting Structure
- The position reports directly, both functionally and disciplinarily, to the Head of the Automation Department.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering / Automation Engineering or a qualification as a state-certified Electrical Engineering Technician
- Experience in Siemens PLC software development
- Good knowledge of TIA Portal
- Familiarity with PROFINET and IO-Link protocols
- Experience with HMI and SCADA systems
- Solid knowledge of Motion Control
- Proficiency in the programming languages Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Ladder Logic (LAD)
- Willingness to travel approximately 20%
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with Beckhoff PLC systems
- Knowledge of C#

Your Future Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the field sales team to support existing and new customers
- Preparing quotations, calculations, and order confirmations in coordination with suppliers and customers
